Factum Radioscape, a global leader in Digital Audio Broadcasting technology, has been awarded the contract to upgrade the national DAB+ multiplexing system in Kuwait. The project will deploy Factum Radioscape’s flagship MultiMuxa and MultiMonitor platforms, delivering a future-ready, fully redundant DAB+ system for the Ministry of Information (MOI).
The system upgrade includes main and backup configurations for full operational redundancy, ensuring high availability and reliability of service. Once deployed, the national multiplex will continue to carry 16 DAB+ radio services, including established stations such as Al Danah, Kuwait FM, and Easy 92.5.
Kuwait’s DAB+ service, launched in October 2014, is broadcast via a
Single Frequency Network (SFN) that provides 100% population coverage. The new
system will further enhance service stability, audio quality, and operational
control across the network.
The project will be delivered in collaboration with Abdulaziz Abdulmohsin Al-Rashed
Sons Co. W.L.L., a respected system integrator based in Safat, Kuwait, ensuring
local support.
MultiMuxa combines powerful functionality with simplified operation through its
intuitive interface. In parallel, MultiMonitor and the Observa Analyser software
provide comprehensive real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and service analytics,
enabling proactive system management and regulatory compliance.
James Waterson, Sales Manager at Factum Radioscape, commented:
