Factum Radioscape is proud to announce that its state-of-the-art Multimuxa DAB+ System has been chosen by TX Australia for a significant upgrade project for eight commercial multiplexes in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. This landmark project will modernise radio broadcasting infrastructure across the major Australian cities, ensuring high-quality digital radio services for millions of listeners. Factum Radioscape's close collaboration with TXA ensures seamless operation when migrating from the former DAB+ system, first installed in 2009.

The selection of the Multimuxa by TXA underscores their commitment to cutting-edge technology to enhance listener experiences and optimise broadcast efficiency. The Multimuxa system, renowned for its reliability, scalability, and advanced feature set, will provide robust and future-proof digital radio capabilities. One of the key benefits of Multimuxa is its ability for individual broadcasters to control their services remotely through Multimuxa's intuitive web interface or API securely without compromising other services on the ensemble. TXA can oversee the multiplexes using the Observa Analyser software for real-time monitoring and analysis of the EDI output to the transmission network, ensuring the content is correct and the signal is performing optimally.

Factum Radioscape and TXA will offer dedicated support for the next seven years, ensuring the system remains at the forefront of technological advancements and continues to meet the evolving needs of broadcasters and listeners.

Tim Neall, Head of Engineering & Operations at TX Australia:

“Factum Radioscape and TXA’s technical team, led by David Kilpatrick, ICT and Telemetry Systems Manager at TXA, will offer dedicated support for the next seven years, ensuring the system remains at the forefront of technological advancements and continues to meet the needs of broadcasters and listeners.”

James Waterson, Sales Manager of Factum Radioscape, said:

“We are thrilled to partner with TXA on this transformative project. Adopting Multimuxa and improvements to the IP network infrastructure will enhance redundancy for the system. Together we'll provide the Service Providers with a robust platform to deliver high-quality digital radio services across the country.”
