Ceredigion - UK, 13/03/2025 – Factum Radioscape
is proud to announce its support for the local DAB multiplex serving Ceredigion, operated by MuxCo Wales. The multiplex is powered by Factum Radioscape’s hosted MultiMuxa service, delivering high-quality digital radio to the county.
The ensemble features three key BBC service alongside programming
from Nation Broadcasting, ensuring a diverse range of content for local listeners.
Martin Mumford, Managing Director Muxco Wales commented:
“We needed to find a solution to serve rural Ceredigion in order to secure renewal of its transmission licence for the wider West Wales area. Serving Ceredigion provided a number of technical and commercial challenges, and we’re pleased to include Radioscape multiplexing software as part of our solution. The Ceredigion multiplex launched on its own frequency block meaning it could be multiplexed separately from the existing transmitters and offer listeners a different selection of radio stations. The multiplex currently broadcasts six stations: Nation Radio, Nation 80s and Dragon Radio, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC Radio Cymru 2 – all in DAB+ format.”
The transmission is based at Llanbadarn Fawr, a strategic site ensuring optimal coverage and signal strength for the area. By using Factum Radioscape’s advanced MultiMuxa platform, the multiplex benefits from a reliable, scalable, and efficient digital broadcasting solution.
